question about street riding/extra helmet!

ok, so finally summer is back in action over in the states. i've moved into manhattan so my track riding days are far and few between (for this year being i just bought property).....but i have still been riding around manhattan. my question is- how the hell do i carry an extra helmet on this thing- i've owned it for two years and have not figured it out.

i'm guessing the only way is to use bungee net to strap over a helmet- however, looking underneath the rear seat plastic, there is no "lip" to stop the hook from sliding off the back of the bike...

anyone have any ideas?

lift off back seat (if its a bip) and wire retainer can be brought out, through the helmet, and then back under seat. But I thought that was just for use when parking up?

I'd be interested to see that.Pics please.

I guess the obvious answer is to use an elasaticated cargo net.Place the helmet onto the pillion seat, then strap it down with the net.Be carefull with the hooks tho, they can scratch you bodywork easily and the hot exhaust can melt the elastic.
The other option is to buy a rucksack with a built in helmet section.I seem to remember one in the DP catalogue.

I used to hook an extra helmet over my arm and then ride as normal.

But I'm just stupid.

No flippy out bits on mine (2003 749S Bip). I got all excited for a moment then that there might be some bits I'd not discovered ... but no. You were just teasing weren't you?
