Don't know if you've got a manual for the bike, but here's one if you want to download it. (It's approx. 65MB)

http://www.blackbears.ru/manual/file...ice_Manual.zip

A RUSSIAN website !!!!
I'm not sure I trust russian websites ... but anyway ... how the hell do you find anything on it ???

'didn't spot the RU at the end of that link and my pc told me that it would take 18hours to download the file!

That can't be right, can it?

Hi guys

I've already downloaded this manual, and now have it on my hard-drive. Whether I used the above link, or this one:
http://www.diff.ru:8000/Ducati_888_Service_Manual.zip I'm not completely sure!

Gary - I can't remember how long it took me to download, but it was nowhere near that long! (Broadband?)

It's a copy of the same 'official' manual I have in a binder.

Steve

ps. You can get a copy here too: http://www.duc.nu/manuals/ for a small charge.

I've uploaded a working PDF copy (more than most copies on the web seem to do...) of the manual to some webspace.

You can find it here http://www.mooload.com/new/file.php?...ice_Manual.pdf

It's about 60 odd megabites but the download is as quick as you like. Maxed out my 4 meg connection...

That is a very slow website Steve, but back up one level and there is an impressive list of manuals:

http://www.diff.ru:8000/

I'm downloading the Duke parts list now (2003 out of interest) and my Firefox browser is telling me the 60Mb file will take 8 hours or so to download

Good Luck - Frank

ps - Steve what happening with yours - hope you are keeping it so we can have a ride on each others bikes (next year !!!!!)

Morning Jasp !!!

Hiya Darren - didnt realise you had a T8 !!!

What a silly boy I am - I already have the same manual in DVD I got from FleaBay.

Still the mooload site is interesting and fast - might have to explore that a bit more, no way to browse it though

Hi Frank

I finally sold my 888 Strada just last Saturday - so you're out of luck with that one! My SP4 is currently SORN'd waiting for a fork/shock rebuild and valve clearance check.

If I had somewhere to do the job I'd have it stripped down already, but failing that, I may well have to look for a dealer here in the NE who might be trusted with it. (I did note the Reactive Suspension link you posted earlier. I may give them a bell if I can get the 'springy' bits off the bike in the limited space I have to work).

My nearest Ducati dealer is M&S in Newcastle, and the chances of me giving them any work are slim (to say the least!)

Hopefully, I'll get it sorted for next season. Catch me at Hartside on it one day, and you might just get a swap ride!

Damn Steve, bet you were gutted to see her go

Yes - I fully rate Gareth @ reactive - go see him on the first Saturday in a month and then you can pop to Rufforth and enjoy the autojumble for a mootch as well - only a few miles away!

Hi Jasper, what's the best way forward here, can the cd be copied, or is it easier to E-mail ?

Sorry, but not much of a wizard when it comes to this computer stuff.

Cheers.
