Smile Multistrada 1200 - who is buying one ?

I know Monty has money on one, and so do I.

Just interested to hear who else has too, and maybe which spec your going for. MCN are reporting orders are flying in to the dealers, mainly for the S-Touring.
Apparently they get allocated in date of deposit order (someone from ducati Glasgow put money down a year ago, and is expected to get the firast one).

I've spoken to my dealer this morning and Ducati have requested details of their confirmed orders (spec, colour, date of deposit, etc), so now is the time to put your money down if you haven't already.

I'll be getting an S-Touring, probably in white (undecided though, could be red ).

Now that's interesting-it was confirmed to me by Ducati that I had the first one-put the money down the day after the dealer meeting when they were shown the prototype..................

John-Black touring for me-probably with some carbon bits.

John, my apologies.
i've just re-read the article (link below), and it looks like the order is with Ducati coventry. I missed the fact the second quote was from them and not Glasgow.

I will definitely test ride one probably late summer next year but it isnt what I wanted from Ducati. I know you cant keep everyone happy but I waited for a new ST but when I found out it wasnt going to happen and a redesigned Multistrada was the only option I bought a K1300S.

My guess is my next Ducati will be a 848 or 1198 and a Beemer for touring.

That said I hope Im wrong and the new stroodle is an awesome tourer

I need to test ride one first, being a bit short in the leg departmet to see if I can reach the ground.
Then I may sell the 996 and the Multistrada and just have One Bike that will please her!!

Yep
"One customer put his deposit down over a year ago – before anyone had even seen the bike – and he will be getting the first bike in the UK."

That'll be me then.

John

So
Selfish me, who is going to be trading in an st4s for one. I'm thinking there might be a few of those around once the new multi turns up. That will do me for a bit of continental riding.

I think I will be Keith.
04 St4S ABS in senna colours, with lots of kit, and a few miles too (~38k).

I'm tempted to keep it incase I don't like the 1200, but it has to go.
I've yet to speak to the dealer to get their tradein price, and do have a guy from work interested to hear what they have to say.
Give me a pm if you wish and I'll keep you posted if you really are interested.
