The earliest picture I can find of one is when they appeard at shows in 1991 and it's red - but maybe they did both (red and the faster Yellow colour )
Have checked Ian Falloon's restoration guide, there were 952 Mk 1's built, of which 300 were done in yellow for the states, also that this was the first time yellow was used by ducati on recent models.
It's not stopped yet. I have a Superlight V 242. Red of course. Standard except for some SIL Moto cans. No pictures as yet, as I have not got one of those new fangled digie thingies. Should be at Castle Commbe on the 4th. Cheers:P
I also have a superlight it is the 1st edition. I do not have the fancy wheels on it though, i manage to find a front wheel but have not been able to get hold of the rear.
