Ahhh!!! My exhaust is falling apart!

Is this normal for this to happen on 748/9xx bikes? I've had three rivets either come lose of fall out completely. I know its a simple job to put back together again but i only bought the bike from JHP 4 months ago!

Thumbs up

Hi Martin. I would give JHP a call as they have such good customer care I am sure they would resolve it for you. The standard cans on my SL have the same problem, if that's any help.
Cheers Allan R

Off to JHP tomorrow on my split, the bike is now a month out of warranty so this could be quite interesting, but I think I have the law on my side from what I can gather I have around about 6ish months but I have now done over 3K since I bought the bike.

They've had my bike for almost a week to do a 45min job. Still they did pick it up and will drop it off for free.

Gawd nose! Rang JHP on tuesday they said they would get on with it then and I would have the bike back on wednesday. Its now thursday (only just mind), so I'm going to ring again and ask for it back by the weekend which is not unreasonable. They did say they were very busy but this is silly now. If i havent got the bike back by the weekend it will be almost 2 weeks.

Have i got my maths right??? 3 month warranty from a Ducati 'Store'. they want full prices but dont give full service.

My brother has just won a case in the small claims court from a car dealer who refused a warranty claim after 7 months. 3 months is crazy!

I thought you would get a 12 month warranty at least.

I bought my S4 from a ducati dealer last year (not a store) and it came with a FULL Ducati Factory warranty for 12 months with home and roadside collection included.

I would have thought this was the norm isnt it?

They silly thing is the law is on our side either way because if you do buy via a dealer you have a reasonable amount of time for the car or bike to work (if you get me). But either way they bikes in now and I have been told this would be covered by JHP what really annoyed me is how long they are taking over this. Ohh the bike I bought was advertised in the dealer but a private sale. If this make any diffrence.

Yes it does make a difference. Your contract of sale is with the owner of the bike. not the shop.
