Neil,

No the the PC route, as yet. I have an FIM, single injector chip in at the mo' and that was easy to set up and covers all the PC, type issues too. You program it like a PC. We think that t will have enough adjustment to meet the fuel requirements of the engine as is. I'll probably start it up on Alan's mid chip and use the two ECU option when we are at the Dyno in a few weeks time.

I will be using a PC3 for the SB8 though. That doesn't have the removable/flashable chip in its ECU. Horses for courses, eh?

Rgds, Rob

Finally finished & reconnected the last mods into the loom. 996 switchgear via adapters to the 888 loom plus some minor odds and sods.

Battery fitted and all mods 100% working.

Never mind how many times Ducati have changed wiring colurs and connector types over the years, I was impressed and pleased to find how easy it was to track the information and cut and reconnect with confidence.

Rgds, Rob

Oh yes, now I have the the lovely chirping of the imobiliser in service mode to accompany the final assembly...... Where did I leave the wire cutters

Rob, lookin sweeeeet mate!
The battery, I guess it's a gel, what is it/how much+where from? I still have the old lead acid and it's seen better days, struggles a bit to crank her over now.

Colour co-ordinated batteries. How thoughtful of the manufacturers

She looks very nice indeedy and I really look forward to seeing her in the flesh once she is on the road and warmer climes are here.

She\'s a runner

Plugs out. Spin her over till the oil pressure's up. Slop some fuel in and press the button.

Not a seconds hesitation; she fired up first time. Bring the temp up to 80 degrees with me smiling like a cat whose got the cream.

Oh and the sound; after being starved of the V-Twin symphony for a few months
