Yes its my first year, never thought of myself as a namby pamby type and would rather be under canvas than a garage.

And how do you know my leathers are pink?

I will hopefully be able to talk to you all at Brands to find a solution or whether to stick with the original type components or more modern versions.
I'll be in the converted ambulance with a fluorescent yellow bonnet, so feel free to drop by for a coffee/beer.
Thanks again

Yep no problem with letting you have a copy, it has a tiny file size so easy to email

Pete Pritchard has a Ignitech on his Class B bike, which is Paul Nelson's old bike and has been running trouble free for some years now, I suspect he'll be at Brands as it's his closest track

Well you've picked a brill place to start, just keep your doors locked if Blomfield is lurking nearby.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters, but the size of the fight in the dog.

I'm selling what you already have fitted however I did a back to back with the Ignitec on the dyno vs. the original set up and it made no difference power wise so you would be paying for reliability.
The reason I still have a spare set is after 3 years of racing in class B I never had either the coil or igniter box fail so you could argue these are as reliable. Always thought it would be handy to have a spare set I could swap over in one go, these got Mark H out of trouble at Brands in 5 minutes.

Mark must have had reliability issues, probably something that didn't plague Tom when he owned the bike

It is swings and roundabouts plus luck of the draw

There are always a few Options

Run without spares and hope for the best
Buy a spare set up cost circa £100 and be covered
Buy Ignitech, possibly sell original igniters to get some of the outlay back

Thanks for the offer of spares, but since making the post I have made the plunge and brought an Ignitech as a back up which arrived today, this will give me a back up for Brands.
