I sadly, dont know an 888 that intimately but, I do know that some places sell sheets of Carbon Fibre - difficult to cut and even more so to shape but could be an alternative?

Frank

ps - I'm sure Jasper or someone from the T8 mob will be along soon....

Paul, due to a couple of home issues last night (pesky kids) I didn't get the chance to look - will be out there tonight though and will get back to you.

Paul, just checked - I have a spare carbon plate for the LHS and not the right, this as the RHS plate is a part of the carbon X tube air intake that bolts in front of the headstock.
Let me know if you need the LHS plate.
cheers

Loony888 should take both parts ...

These parts are difficult to find now. I'm always "investigating" to get a couple from Europe, but the opportunities are very very rare.
With the LHS used as a mould, it suddenly becomes easy to make the opposite part.

Original parts perfectly fit the top and low tubes of the frame and have an openig excrescence on the front ...

Seen from the screen :
