Pah! What to journalists know?

I subscribe to RIDE but was very miffed when they described the 600SS as "the worst bike ever built"!!!!

not an awful lot of experience with monsters, but I got a spare 2p so I'll chuck it in....
I've had the distinct pleasure of a brief (and obviously very sedate ) ride on a m1000sie, just like ck's one actually, and I was most impressed.

So smooth, pulled like a big twin should do and just carved through some bendy bits like they weren't there. Very confident bike it was. Must try'n blag a ride on an s4r now to see what that's all about!

Well, after listening to what everyone said I had no worries about either the 1000 or S4. Was all set to look at a few S4s then Ducati Aylesbury said they were getting some more bikes in (ex-Ducati UK staff bikes).
So tonight I bought myself a shiny red Monster 1000 (9 months old, 53 reg). Before I'd had time to think about it I ordered some high level ali cans to go with it.
Should have it in a few days, next Sat latest. Can't wait - after 11 weeks since my 750 SS was barbequed I feel like steeling one very time a bike goes past.
Cheers
Ian
