Post London calling for Ducati UK at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show

London calling for Ducati UK at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show
  • Ducati Scrambler on display in Scrambler café area
  • XDiavel welcomes visitors to dedicated area
  • Ducati store will be there selling the latest 2016 apparel
Ducati UK will present their 2016 Model year range at this year’s Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show.
Up to nine new models will be on display at Excel London as Ducati UK looks to build on a record 2015 which saw them become the fastest growing major motorcycle brand in the UK.

One of the sales successes of last year was the new Ducati Scrambler brand. The Scrambler range has now been expanded with the introduction of the 400cc Scrambler Sixty2 while the bigger engine 800cc Scrambler welcomes the Flat track pro version to the family. The Ducati Scrambler will again have its own area although this time it will be in the form of a Scrambler Café where visitors can view the bikes in a relaxed atmosphere over a coffee.

The bike that will no doubt become one of the most talked about models of 2016 is the XDiavel. Ducati enters the cruiser market and does so in its own inimitable way. A bike that almost has two personalities as it crosses between genres of riding - low speeds, relaxed riding, long journeys and feet forward ergonomics while at the same time providing thrilling performance, handling with Italian style and elegance. The bike can be viewed in a dedicated area that brings to life the mood and world of the XDiavel.

While Ducati dips its toe into the cruiser segment it also moves into another segment with the Multistrada Enduro. While the Multistrada Enduro may share many similar physical features as its more road-going stablemate, the Multistrada Enduro is a true adventurer developed to be unstoppable in any terrain and handle the stresses and strains of off-road riding. The Multistrada will be on display alongside the rest of the Multistrada range and Ducati staff will be on hand to go through the features of this significant new model.

The Monster range will again be a feature of the Ducati stand and sees the introduction for 2016 of the new track biased Monster 1200R. This super naked takes the naked sports bike to the extreme with the ‘R’ version boasting 10% more power and 5.5% more torque over the 1200 S which will also be on display alongside the Monster 821 range.

The Ducati Superbike has long been at the core of the Ducati model line-up and new for 2016 is the 959 Panigale. This new ‘supermid’ superbike replaces the acclaimed 899 with more power and torque thanks to a super smooth new 955cc superquadro and Euro 4 compliant engine. The 959 Panigale is joined on stage by the 1299 Panigale and Panigale R. Race fans will also have chance to see the new PBM Be Wiser Ducati Panigale R which will contest this year’s British Superbike Championship and meet riders Shane Byrne and Glen Irwin.

Also on display will be the new Hypermotard 939 range which also includes the Hyperstrada and Hypermotard SP. These have all been updated with the new Euro 4 compliant 937cc Testastretta 11° engine. The new engine boasts an increase in power to 113hp and 10% more torque.

For those who wish to shop rather than just browse there will be a Ducati store selling the latest apparel range which will include Ducati Scrambler merchandise.
