Going to try and locate a decent engine and do a complete strip and rebuild. Frame could do with a lick of paint and I'd like to get an alloy swinger on her. She's never going to be the prettiest of bikes, but it'd be a sin to just throw another engine in without doing the basics.

I've collected my 'spare' engine now - but not had time to look inside it - externally its like many - rough - but the bloke (another racer) said he had it running before he broke the bike to sell the parts. I want the hydraulic clutch and ignition pickups - which is essentially the 2 side cases worth - for my tt2 pantah, and then its 'just' a spare standard crankcase and cylinders ... can you see where my thoughts are going ?
It all depends on how 'decent' an engine you want - as for a small fee, I can pop the heads and check the rings and barrels, clean the combustion chambers, match the manifolds to the heads, shim it, and replace the belts. Or something.
