Thinking of buying a 1199R

Having previously owned a 998S and 999R I am thinking about selling my RC45 to buy a used Pani R. Did it change between years? The reviews are either 2013 or 2015 which makes me think there was an update?

No no no no!

As much as I love Ducati, please don't sell your RC45!!!

As for the 1199R, it was the 2015 model that got revised with upgraded internals and electronics for a bit more power (see http://www.cycleworld.com/2015/05/20...specifications ), and again for this year (2017) with the newer EVO electronics.

What about keeping the RC45 and buying a second-hand 1299S instead? Same power as the 1199R with all the electronics goodies but without the price. Just not as limited edition...

Many thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately looking to reduce number of bikes but still retain something with decent residual. Ideally I can continue to enjoy for occasional trackdays and if I need to release capital in 9yrs time for my boys uni fees etc it has held firm or even increased slightly. The RC45 is not completely original and wears aftermarket fairing, dymags, etc so will never be the big money. Still epic to ride!
