Don't know if you have factored this into the price but you might get caught for a wallet full of duty when buying stuff from outside the EU

US price plus 10% then plus 17.5% VAT

various ways round it tho' and you might be lucky.

If I wanted a bit more power out of a 998bip I would pay a visit to any of the tuners I mentioned below, might even be tempted to do a few cheap mods myself and them have the engine set up properly. eg TPS, fuel trimed/power commander??etc.

The experts could advise on things like removing the mesh from the air intakes, the bungs from the air tubes, some open pipes, and anything else that may help without costing a fortune.

Ray.

Ray, I've already removed the mesh from the airintakes, removed the bungs, put 45mm slipons (now a termi 1/2 system) and powercommander with a custom map, as well as a pair of pipercross filters, this has only netted around 5HP (actualy haven't dynoed or remapped since the 1/2 system).

This engine upgrade kit will cost around 1120 all in, and net another 10-15hp - I should be able to sell my 45mm slipons and termi 1/2 system for at least 600, so its basically costing me around 500+labour (needs a service anyway ) for another 10-15hp. Not bad eh

Roy I would be interested in the outcome if you go for the upgrade, as I am currently building my 998 Hybrid which is using a 998BP engine with a full 50mm system at the moment but alread have the 50/54mm half system and ECU.
I'm hoping this will give me more than enough power for the road when set up correctly, but if a decent amount of extra ponies doesn't cost to much I may be tempted.

DJT,

You're already ahead of the game, may all your extra horses be strong!

LOL! Ray, I just need to know if its worth putting in the titanium rods i have, they look in mint condition but is it risky to reuse them? I mean although they're used they still have to be stronger than a pair of 18,000 mile thrashed steel rods surely?

Kev, we'll have a proper chat about the engine kit and what I am planning, when I pop round to do my ride height if its still OK - you busy tomorrow?
