I bought my other half a Monster for Xmas two years ago and shortly before that a full direct access course as she had never ridden a bike up until that point. She loves it and is now the area rep for the Norfolk region of the Monster Owners Club. I tend to agree with the general sentiment and feel you should go ahead and buy it for your wife. She will really enjoy it. Mine does, and it was worth every penny just to see the smile on her face. That much is priceless.
