Mood: is it the weekend yet??
it would be better with the ST3 engine in bored to 1100, it needs more torque, mine struggles 2 up with luggage, spent a day on the west coast of Scotland in a strong headwind and we were in 4th gear a lot of the time . 105 -110 bhp with more mid range grunt would be perfect

Isn't 70ft-lbs of torque enough? The only thing these motors need IMO is a free-breathing inlet side and lower gearing (they are all horrendously overgeared).

Multistrada 2007+

Major changes seem to be:

Only S DS model with 1098cc engine
No 1000ds model
No 600 model
better service costs!

Mood: Looking for a one way ticket to the 'Ring.
There is no point in putting a new engine in it, unless they sort out the ugly front as well.
Nice rear though!

I was at the factory for the tour on 27th July. They mentioned the 1100 Multi, but I thought it must be old news as they were so open about it.

Other observations on the day:-
There is a dual seat Sport 1000 with high-rise bars & twin rear shocks (completed & leaving the factory on the day).
None of the production lines were building Superbikes (although the Parts Unlimited 999s was being crated up to leave the factory).
The tour of the factory & museum is excellent!!!! If you're thinking of going, DO IT!!!
