Question optimate

is it ok to keep the optimate on all year round ,,,ive got an alarm and emobilizer and worry wether it will run the battery flat if i dont leave the optimate on ????????????????????

better to take it on a good run in the summer months!!

Seriously thats the purpose of the optimate, however I expect it would make the battery lazy as you would never have any load on it!

yes leave it plugged in when you can. I had a new 1995 GPz1100 and the alarm/immobilizer killed the battery in about 10 months (no optimate), then I have had a ZRX 1100 (new) since 1997 and have just had to change the battery last month, not bad nearly 9 years out of it (all from using an optimate)
