wiring help please

hi there
in the middle of turning my road bike into a track bike
was thinking of taking the ignition barrel / fuel cap out
then use the kill switch/ starter button
is this possible?
has anyone done it ?
hows it done!!!!

Hmm,tricky one that.
To do something like that I believe it involves major rewiring and a new CPU like the ones fitted to 996's and the like.
The prob with 749/999 bikes is the imobiliser chips in the keys,clocks and ignition.Basically,it aint gonna go without the key.
I think a German dealer/tuner has done this.

it is possible ,but you will need a marelli race loom and ecu
