You would go in another class Tonio - that class is full of 4-cylinder Jap bikes.

Twins go in another class. There is a 'superstock' type class as well.

I think a Minitwin won at Brands Hatch and wasn't far from winning the whole race!!!

No I don't think there is any other class for such a small twin...

KRC introduced a new class this year to try and get more bikes on the grid. It is for bikes with very little modification, no quick fillers etc to keep the cost down. It's what I plan to do next year, you get some proper track time.

Hi Mike,
what bike are you entering? Any info about that? I'm not yet interested, but we never know.

I have been in touch with krc but they have not got back to me yet. I want to run my 748 just because I love riding it, but I also have a Triumph Daytona 955 which I could run. Really just trying to put a plan together for next year.

Hrmm, you appear to be correct

What you need is a 620 and then enter Class D - 601-1000cc twins.

...or fit a big bore kit - they're very very cheap and there are loads available!!

One of the reasons why they have dwindling grids.

That and the fact it costs so much - £1000+ per round (between 2-3 riders)

Tim 'Otei' Pritchard is a KRC regular and he's riding Fil2's 620 at Donington, so I'm sure he'll be happy to bore you to death about endurance racing

Not quite that expensive, KRC just got back to me. £575 for a 6 hour race, plus practice and qualifying. That aint £20 a lap like Donington.

You not thinking about using any tyres, fuel, food, chains or brake pads then?

...and you're going for free teleportation as well?

I think you will find that the entry may well be £575 (and thats a cheap one - it varies) but you will easily rack up £1000 Mike.

Good luck though, it is much better value for money than sprint racing, but it's still a shed load of cash!

Tyres chains and the rest yep but you use them whatever kind of racing you do. I'm under no illusion about the cost I just want some track time. Three people one bike one van one trailer ok it may be £1000 at the end of the weekend but thats say £350 each. How much will the Donington weekend (trackday included) cost the people who have to pay the whole costs themselves.
