Brno GP - Driving Rules - Scary!!

Blimey - how scary does this lot sound??? Downloaded this off the official Autodromo Brno website for this weekend's race!

Almost tempted to drive across the border and hire a Czech car so as not to be there on Polish plates!!!

GRAND PRIX 2006 - INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN DRIVERS

From 01/07/2006, a new road traffic law is valid in the CzechRepublic. The Czech Police can withdraw driving licences, and in case of dealing with irregular behaviour they can impose a cash bail from 5.000, - CZK up to 50.000, - CZK. Until the bail is paid, the vehicle is secured or towed away; the costs of security or towing are paid by the offender. In case of road traffic offence the driver, even from abroad, is given penalty points. When 12 points are scored the driver loses the right to drive a vehicle in the CzechRepublic.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The maximum permissible speed is 50 km/h in a village/city, 90 km/h out of village/city and 130 km/h on highways.

Alcohol tolerance is 0, 00%o.

If asked to do so, a foreign driver must submit to a road patrol the following documents: driving licence, vehicle documents, certificate of insurance (e.g. green card), and passport.

When a vehicle is being driven the lights must be ON also daytime.

WARNING:
Before a vehicle leaves parking round the circuit, the driver will be asked to submit vehicle documents and alcohol breath test will be made.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is better to leave the camp sites when the vehicles leave the parking places around the circuit, i.e. after 6 p.m.

EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS:
Emergency calls 112
Czech Police 158
