is this a second mount...

if so, sorry rattler, showing my complete lack of technical knowlegde again!! So, what is needed to add a second disc? new wheel? Just a disk Disc? will master cylinder need changing? Will another monster wheel with dual disc fit straight in?

Even if I dont race I think I will do this anyway because the brakes are just soooo bad, especially with my weight transference!

Yes thats it. You just need a disk, caliper, lines and perhaps a master cylinder.

Yep. You'll need the master cylinder to.

On the single/twin setup, one other thing to bear in mind is fork twist. It does happen on single disc setups. Remember the old fork braces on the 250 LC's............
You go banging a 4 pad on there with a good disc etc. and it'll increase.
IMO, I'd only ever consider a twin setup for anything more than a quick blast around the lanes, never mind racing...................
Watch the mounting centers of the calipers to. The early bikes ran the 40mm mounts and you'd need a spacer to fit a 4 pad to these..........unless you got a GP billet item

"unless you got a GP billet item"-but that wouldn't be legal under the Rules now would it Nelly!

Probably not eh John???

seriously though, how would the rules stand fitting a 4 pad onto an older 600? You'd need to use an adaptor bracket. Would that be allowed??

Paul,
I've got a M/Cyl from my 748 that you can have from when I went Radial

Pop round at the weekend and pick it up if you like.
