Monster Owner from NZ: new to the forum

Hi everyone - my first post on this forum. (thanks to sbwells from NZ for pointing me in this direction!)

Hope I don't breach any etiquette - I'm not very technical. I haven't had much of a browse round the site, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

I have two Monsters, an August 2003 M800Si.e. and a June 2004 M1000Si.e.

I love them both - they're similar in some ways but also quite different.

Have done 25,000kms on the 800, and only about 2,500kms on the 1000 (we've had pretty shitty weather here since I bought it). The 1000 is currently in hospital - at the beginning of a trip at the weekend it suddenly went onto one cylinder (the front one wasn't working). The shop thinks it's probably a coil, but haven't got back to me yet with the problem.

I was at the MotoGP at Phillip Island a couple of w/ends ago and saw my next one - the S2R. I have asked my local dealer to give me a trade-in figure for my 800. The S2R is a lovely bike.

I really love riding my Monsters, they're so easy to ride, so light and easy to handle, and they're Ducatis!

That's me in a nutshell.

Lynda

Hi Lynda Welcome to the forum.Glad to hear you are enjoying your Monsters
Not sure you should have posted your surname though as it certainly isn't the most popular one at the moment here in the UK

Hi from another monsterer. Love mine too but will upgrade next year to s4 or s4R depending on whether to take out loan. Hope your bikes fixed soon. I rode m1000 not so long ago and very nice too. Eh Charlotte.

Happy monstering

Hi Linda ...

... welcome and good thinking on the S2R, wouldn't mind one of them myself - monsters don't look right with radiators and plumbing, do they?

I'll join you in a Morton Estate Stone Creek Sauvignon Blanc - cheers H
