New one make series on KTM\'s - tarmac racing and £3500 for new bike!!!

Road racing, from a different angle!

A one make KTM 660 SMC road race series will hit the tracks in 2006.

• 10 round series taking in the best road racing tracks in the UK.

• Bikes supplied in “race specification” for a subsidised price of £3500 including VAT.

• Package includes one set of race tyres (control tyres), race fenders and catch tank.

• Option to choose tuning parts from the KTM Hard Parts Catalogue is available.

At the end of the series competitors keep their KTM 660 and can convert it back to road specification and register it.

The series is aimed at club road racers, supermoto riders, motocross riders and anyone with an ACU road race licence.

Bikes are available immediately enabling riders to get their bikes set-up, practice, track day etc.

That's not just cheap - even if you factor in the race fees, as long as you don't drop it, it will still be cheaper than retail price!

Good fun KTM singles (and I've only got the sensible one!)

Been meaning to call Iain to have a chat about it for the last few weeks since I heard about this from Jim at New Era-you have reminded me.

That's fantastic value for money! Too bad it's a Motard. Not a great fan, I'm afraid.

I did some motard racing back with CCM, great fun, and cheap! and if you do come off the bike usually fairs pretty well, far better than I did

I'd be tempted if I had the cash

It's a motard, but not Supermoto format - it's all on tarmac. Looks like it's running along side one of New Era's championships next year. Will be goot to watch anyway.

I see in MCN today that KTM are running a one make series for the new 990 superduke, selling race prepp'd bikes with carbon wheels and everything

It's moments like this when I wish I wasn't skint - which is all the time
