Vasoline Rattler are you sure, will it desolve in the petrol ok

Silicone spray has been recommended....

Well I fitted the new o ring, popped in first time, job done.
But the 916 is still popping and farting, it could well be a split inner tank pipe but this goes past my capability.
So it off the my local Ducati man for some extra TLC
Ill get the belts done the same time, all ready for the bike season....

Vaseline is fine for the O-Ring... you're not slapping it on like Mortar on a breeze block... just a nice thin coating of it.and on the inside rim of the tank too.

use the 3 screw holes as described above and turn a bit on each as it's going in... this ensures it stays level.
