Advice on fitting/Removing Db killers

Had a go at fitting these to my Termi's but they need ramming in which makes getting them out impossible without large mallet and grips.

Is there any way of improving this as not to cause them to come out involuntary?

Use this on the baffles and to get rid of any burring inside the pipes, just be careful afterwards not to push then right into the can.

Do I have to use one without a handle??

As I have the 70mm system......I don't have any burring!
