WTD: 996 engine

Hi All,

As per the title I am after a 996 engine

Condition and mileage not too important as will be rebuilt for racing

would prefer no case damage and the numbers must be intact and untouched

what have you got?

Cheers

Nellie

I have one for sale.

Once cylinder head has been sold on.

The alternator came off the crank and broke a main.

The engine is stripped down already.

Was burning a bit of oil due to piston skirts scratched and barrels lightly scored but was making good power before It broke down.

For that ST4s engine, please let me know if you end up breaking the engine.
I would be interest in the cam caps / covers / bearings on both the cambelt side and the other side.
If cheap enough, could be interested in the full Heads

As it's a good lump I'm not going to be stripping her down I'm afraid, thanks for asking.

Hi,

Whats the mileage of the engine?

Whereabouts are you and how much would you want for the engine?

Cheers

Bear in mind the Crankcases of a ST4S differ from those of a 996 Superbike as in one has bearings in them and the other doesn't. also I understand they are different in width across the swingarm pivot area

Thats not too much of an issue as I have some cases or will just machine the mount down and remove the bearing and place a spacer to ensure bolt alignment.

Everything is adaptable with a little work :-)
