How Many Bayliss Reps

Does anyone know how many Bayliss Reps were brought in to the U.K. I`ve neaver seen one on the road and only ever seen one for sale,I read that 300 were sold over the internet with a possibility of 200 more if the deamand was there,
Q1 were they all sold in the U.K.?
Q2 are there 300 or 500 out there ?
Q3 has anyone got one for sale ?

E Mail Ducati and ask them, they have all the records and will tell you, I asked about 998sMomo`s and have an e mail from them stating that only 27 where imported into the uk, this does not include any replica`s.

This is the official reply from Ducati:

Dear Mr Stanley,

Referring to your message and to "how many Bayliss" discussion, I confirm
you we produced 400 units of 998s Bayliss (300 on-line and 100 off-line). 30
are the 998s Bayliss bikes sent to UK market. I hope I have been useful to
you and I remain at your disposal for any further information.

Best regards

Massimo Davoli

Didn't someone post that there were fewer 998S' in the UK????

Whilst at the IOM I saw more Bayliss (3) than 998S (2) - OK 3 if count mine

How many?

Ducati UK may have only brought that many in but how many came in as parallel imports?

It is often one of lifes great mysteries, how many Ducatis of a particular model came into the UK, the DVLA cannot be relied upon cos sometimes bikes are not registered "properly" the full model designation is not registered.

It isn't just a Ducati thing either. Keeping a track of the whereabouts of any vehicle manufacturers output is a black art. They may well lnow how many went out of the factory but where they are now requires the powers of Merlin the magician.
