Sat wondering today what the chances of Ducati pulling something mighty out of the unexpected?

With all the hype around the 1098 how brilliant would it be for Ducati to launch a spectacular replacement for the 749 range, totally unexpected and to go head to head with the anticipated 800+ Aprilia..

I wonder if she had a camera phone ...

White wheels and boots is so 80's-ish and gay

I feel sorry for 749 owners - they are getting hammered with residuals now...more so when the replacement comes out. The smaller twin has never caught on because it's been seen as a bit limp....even if most people were honest enough to admit that 100-105bhp is more than ample.

I had the chance to see a 748R alongside a 749R at the weekend. It was like beauty and the beast in that order. The 748R looked like it meant business, the 749R looked like the ugly barge it is.

well those who claim its limp cant be riding it properly. Am sure I read recently that a 749 was quicker to 65 than a 999. On top of that at day 2 at Cadwell I spent most of the second day being held up by people on 916s, and I am no track god, it was only my first time on track. Fact is, its fast enough for most.

Looks are a matter of taste, I'd take a 749 everytime though I would like to add a 748R to the garage
