checking regulator

hi, can someone point me in the right direction .

think its a 2 phase regulator with 2 yellow/ 2 red / and 1 white 1 black.
how do i check it ?
checked wiring for joints all tight.
bike starts fine if charged but after about 30 mins lights go dim and bike wants to die.

guessing regulator but unsure how to check it thanks in advance.

With the engine running and the charging system working correctly you should get a voltage reading across the battery of around 14.4 volts

There is a charging fuse on the right hand side of the airbox, if this blows or has a corroded connection it can stop the battery charging.
Also check the regulator has a good earth connection
