Yes I know, I didnt want to go quite as low as that if I could help it. I rode a multi with a 14t front and quite liked it but would prefer something between that and standard. So a 44 rear is on the agenda to replace the 42.

After a bit of searching around the net,the legendary mystery riviting tool turned out to be nowt but a punch with a groove cut into it.So I ground a groove into a punch and used that.Worked for me.

Its basically an 8mm pin punch with a 'v' shaped 4mm groove cut down the middle.
I did a search around t'internet and found some fancy Motion Pro tools but they seemed a lot of money for summat I would use once a blue moon.Then I found a pic on the U.S Tsubaki website of the punch and just copied that.
BTW,B&C say you can just peen the pins over with a ballpein hammer.(Using another hammer behind the link as an anvil)

Will modify a punch later and order chain and sprockets.
