Ducati newbie, PHF carb. question

Hi,

I've just become the latest owner of a 239 Desmo and rode it home a few days ago. The journey was mostly uneventful apart from a self adjusting clutch lever and a nasty hesitation when opening the throttle from closed.

I'm fairly sure the clutch will be easily sorted but does anyone have a clue what the hesitation on throttle opening might be?

Blocked accelerator pump/idle jet are the first things that come to mind. It's got a Dellorto PHF carb on it - any gotchas to opening one up and looking inside?

TIA

/Simon

Simon,

Drop me a line or give me a call, there are a few simple checks to do and then if all fails we can drop it in my ultrasonic cleaner.
