What rubber and where??

Hi peeps,

I know this should be in the tyres section but i reckon that more people will see it this way.

I am in the market for some decent rubber for the spring. I was thinking of something like Bridge 012 or renn sports.

I also want to know if any of you peeps know a good tyre dealer that i could travel to from North/central london.

Cheers,

DC.

I and a fair few others run 012ss's, mine have been used for track days (wet & dry), normal road riding and 10 days last summer in the Pyrenees, absolutely faultless mate ....

They may not be quite as sticky as the Rennsports but they also dont put you into a panic at the first sign of a drizzle ... and beaing in mind outr climate, that gives them the edge ...

Watling Tyres supplied my last rear (Friday) in Catford, about 30 minutes from the West End althouh they might have one more local ..

www.watlingtyres.co.uk

the club favorite is Steve at Wraysbury but I suspect Chertsey may be a little far for you ...

Hope that helps mate

Currently running 010's on my 916, and had 207's and couldnt live with them.
Will be trying 012's next
Perhaps i am bridgestone biased, but on the smaller bikes i have the 090's are fantastic and feel just the same on the 916.

I highsided on 010's, and suspect it was the tyres that weren't up to the 'spirited' riding whilst at the track day in Jerez.

I use Rennsport RS2's or 3's on the SP2, and they are MUCH more stable - grip EVERYWHERE. However, I can't really recommend those for road use as theres no tread on the outer edges, so if you were caught out in the rain on them, it might be a bit dodgy!

I guess its 010's for the road then, and Renn's for the track.

Well, for me anyway.:P

010's for me, if it's road and occassional track.
