Computer Pics of the Multistrada replacement - StradaPerta

Thanks to OmniMoto Website:

A possibly poor Italian translation:

A little less than 12 months from the official launch, the new Ducati Stradaperta 1200 is beginning to be on the lips and the thoughts of all the riders and fans of Rosse di Borgo Panigale. Heir to what has been the victim of its own design rather than of intinsecamente "forward" with the times, the MulTISTRADA, the novel "handyman" Ducati maintained almost intact the spirit of multi-purpose of its progenitor, moving deep into forms and engineering.

According to initial information we have collected, "rendered" by the famous pencil Raffaele Poblete, Stradaperta should be the first product on which Ducati will install the engine cylinder 1200 DS: third step of the DS family, the new L-twin air-cooled born to offer higher performance, not only at low and medium speeds. The intent of the technicians of Borgo Panigale, in fact, is to break the wall of the 100 hp ... but put aside for the proverbial to the delivery of medium and low revs, which has always been the icon V2 Dual Spark. As for the Testastretta of 848 first and then SBK reply, DS 1200 will use the technology for vacuum Vacural fusion of the crankcase, which will save about 3 kg compared with a traditional procedure.

Light, according to the philosophy throughout Ducati "less is more", and all CVs used for a motorcycle in this class, the new Stradaperta 1200 will propose a revised version of the chassis and correct dismountable already seen on Monster 696 and 1100. At the rear frame of cast aluminum, therefore, will be joined by high-strength bolts to the upper structure of lattice steel tubes, which will take shape and measures other than those of the Monster.

A fork stems overturned single rear Brembo brakes and high-performance, the new Ducati Stradaperta based on wheels aluminum alloy 17 ". There are rumors, for now, a possible declination enduro of this project, but There is no doubt that the success of the front wheel 19 "- see BMW GS - has long been under evaluation for the upper floors of marketing Ducati.

We are waiting for new information regarding the Stradaperta: you keep informed, stay tuned!

Rumors on the grapevine however, reckon the mock-ups are quite wide of the mark so far.....

Needs a bellypan or protection plate at least - and rose tinted glasses for me.

Doesn't do it for me at all, Ducati are moving into lots of different markets now and diversifying, makes sense from a business perspective. But its their SuperSports bikes that I see as real Ducati bikes.

This looks like the Tenere to me...
