How many replacments of the 999R have there been, and what are the differences between versions?

has there been 3?

2003
2004
2005 current

Yep,
'03-136bhp,cast swingarm,carbon everything.'Racing' can included with bike.Comes with paddock stand,cover and plaque.
'04-139bhp,red frame,deep alloy swingarm,radial brakes,carbon everything.Fila rep also available.
'05-150(!?)bhp,Top fairing vents removed,taller screen,carbon everything (although the front guard is painted with Corse stripe.)Assymetric exhaust system included with bike.Xerox rep available soon.

er.....03, 999cc 139hp and radial brakes, carbon everything.

Dont get carried away on the hp figures, i dont think the engine changes are radical........more in the way the figures are recorded! including the weight figure as well!!

So its gennerally accepted that the bhp is at the crank & the weights are the dry weights (no fork oil/water etc) , just like the jap bikes
Not as some magazines say, 999 lost 16kgs this year & gained 14bhp
