Fitting Standard Cans

I've decided to fit my standard cans before getting an MOT.

Is it as straight forward as just swapping the ECUs round, fitting the cans and just riding off? Or, is there anything else I need to do?

Nope - that's about it, apart from keeping a first aid kit at the ready - 'cause those springs are buggas to get back on!!!

Cheers Tim, thanks for the warning. I had an inkling it might be a bit of a git to get the springs on and off.

I shall do my best to finish up with the same number of fingers I started off with!

If changing from race to standard cans, would you have to change the ECU as well?

I mean if its only an MOT, would it run that bad with the modded ecu and standard cans?

As for the springs, use one of them to pull the others onto the hooks on the pipes. Then use the last spring somewhere easy to get to...................... If ya havent got the proper tool to hand. Always works a treat for me.

Mine ran fine with the stock cans fitted for the mot without switching back the ECU.
Mentioned what I'd done to the tester and he said leave the Termis on next time - so I did!
