My wheels were powder coated for £25 per wheel, but I'm in SW I'm afraid - just use this as a price gauge.

You'll be needing to knock out the bearings etc so get those replaced at the same time and they'll be as good as a new set of wheels.

Have had my frame & swinging arm powder coated by Triple-S in Barnsley (or Bingley or Bolton or somewhere equally Southern ). Finish is excellent & turnaround (door to door) within a week. Not cheap tho', £250 all in. Wheels must be cheaper.

Ian/Matt,

My mag Marchesini's are showing signs of "filiform" corrosion under the paint finish..I was thinking of getting them stripped and recoated.
I rekon they need a "chemical conversion coating" (Alodine 1200) to etch the surface prior to coating.
Can you give me the number of the East Grinstead place and I'll check if they can do Magnesium Alloy wheels.
Ta,
Richard
