749, rear brake, excessive pedal travel

Hi all,

just a quickie. MOT due next week, rear brake pedal is travelling down to bodywork and is completely useless.

I know the rear brake only serves to keep the disc shiny, but i guess it'll fail the test as it presents no stopping force whatsoever.

all was well before the dyno run/fuelling setup it had about two weeks ago (not that i'm blaming BSD, the guys there rock), but to be thorough i thought i'd mention it.

so i've followed instructions regarding bleeding brakes, loosened rear nipple, pumped pedal, fluid flowing freely, but still same issue.

what am i missing?

any advice welcomed, got to be something simple??

ta.

magpie.

Must be some air in the system somewhere. Those rear calipers can be a bitch to bleed. For best results,I found I had to remove it from the bike and get it high up.
Another good way is to use one of those guns that force the fluid into the system.I think Hein Gericke do them.
