Picked it up yesterday, wow, great ride home that drive is amazing !

It was fitted from new with a STM slipper clutch, that feels wierd, some kickback through the lever when nearly fully out, is this normal ? but it seems to operate fine.

Yes ... you should get quite a spring back feeling from the lever when you change down.

I just happen to know of an sps trackbike for sale for £6500 ono in the market place section.

All kitted out and ready to go. Judging by the prices mentioned above, sounds like a great deal to me

Oh - an SPS - takes me back. I do miss my old SPS, it had character that the 996R just doesn't quite have (unreliability I think they call it!!!)

Now where was this 1400 miler? Might be worth a punt? Hartford? Where was it advertised?

Ian - you said no service history when you saw it and the condition wasn't right? It was advertised as immaculate and FSH - what's the story?

Or an SPS trackbike - now that would be sweet!!

Sounds heat related to me - once she'd cooled down she was better? Could it be electrical breakdown of a part once it gets to a certain temperature? Coils? TPS? ECU? (I'm only guessing though).

She never had a problem like that with me, maybe its a blocked fuel filter? Did you run low on fuel?

I'd try and see if its a temperature related thing, then get her off to Nellys - he'll sort her out in a jiffy.

Fuel was ok, always above half when re feuling. Felix thinks it could be throttle body sensor, i will phone Nelly and get her up there. It was great to get out again though. Just lacking confidence. thanks Tim.
