999R F04 nose fit an F05 ?

I'm sure I posted this earlier, but it's gone 'walkabouts' - my ISA log's even say it was posted.......

Anyone know if a 999R F05 (single pair front air intakes) - nose will fit an F04 (air intakes and air defusers) 999R and support the F04 999R side panels ?

F04 and F05???? Factory bikes as in race bikes? They'll use the pierobon bracket and it's a nosecone and sides with a seperate belly pan.

Or do you mean MY04 and MY05 "road" bikes? if so yes as far as I am aware it's merely cosmetic for the R model, the R model also came with slightly wider nosecone over the other models, but all models from 05 onwards had the same width.

The easy answer is yes in theory

Sorry, I meant the 'homolgation 999R MY04 - MY05 models'

So as long as the nose cone is from an 'R' model then it will fit.

Thanks heaps.

All R's had wider nosecones than the other models until 05 when all models were the same as the R.

The 04 model had carbon brackets to mount the nosecone to, whereas I think 05/06 models have magnesium brackets that was the major difference and also affected the nosecone width

Mine has magnesium mounting brackets, I understood all "R" models did. I'll check with JHP before I go bidding

Not Ducati items so i just found out. Top fairing not Ducati item rear end not Ducati item. The R was a damage insurance job, done up then couldn't sell the thing. So broke it. I a mate said it been around for ages. On here somewhere with the damage before and after.
