I would like to convert my 748 to a single headlight unit. I have seen a few projector style conversions on the web but I would like to retain the original headlamp shape but just keep one of them. I saw quite a few at Assen at the DD round. Any thoughts. Also availability of the light unit to fit or how to modify the original unit.

I'd like to do this also. If you buy a new top fairing from someone such as QB carbon, I believe you can specify If you want 0,1 or 2 headlight holes.I guess there must be other companies that offer this too.....
I think that you keep the standard headlight unit in situ and the fairing actually locates over it.
I'm sure somone will be along soon to correct me if this is wrong...

Be very carefull buying 'enduro' style projector lights.

A lot of them are just kitchen 12v spots which are ****

even most of the legal ones are rubbish.

I tried a few on my XR and went back to the standard Honda light for night time events.

I would need to fit single head light as I already have allocated that area for the regulator. I don't see much point in converting to single head light and then leaving the old unit in place. You have to make changes to get the dip and main beam out of the same side, so save the weight and fit a single unit. Ausssie ones seem to be the recomended ones to go for, anyone know why. Is it such a big job to convert a UK one?
