Post Ducati Scrambler at INTERMOT 2016 from 5 to 9 October

Ducati Scrambler at INTERMOT 2016 from 5 to 9 October
  • Virtual Reality: the Land of Joy enters a new dimension
  • Radio Ducati Scrambler: the official brand broadcasting station is born
  • A 60s Café and a patch of Californian desert: two mysterious containers to be unveiled on the Ducati Scrambler stand

Cologne (Germany), 4 October 2016 – Two years after the brand's official launch in Cologne back in 2014, Ducati Scrambler will play a starring role at the 2016 edition of “INTERMOT - International Motorcycle, Scooter and E-Bike Fair”, to be held in Cologne from 5 to 9 October.

In addition to the current bike range, the Ducati Scrambler Land of Joy will be back with its unmistakeable yellow containers, packed with plenty of exciting developments: several new accessorized designs based on the Icon and Sixty2 models, the Artika special (built by Dario Lopez Studio) and the Revolution special (a Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 in pure bobber style built by Officine Mermaid).

At INTERMOT 2016 - as at every event - the Ducati Scrambler will be a hub of fun, involvement and innovation. This year's Intermot will see the brand present an all-new Virtual Reality experience: visitors can don VR visors and plunge into a new world on a Ducati Scrambler Icon. After setting up the bike and riding through woods, across deserts and along country roads, they'll even be able to send themselves a souvenir photo of the experience.

Another first from Ducati Scrambler at Cologne will be Radio Ducati Scrambler. Music has always been a key feature of the Land of Joy - so a radio station is a brand must-have for the future.
One of the containers converts into a studio from which the new official radio station will broadcast, beaming live on the Ducati Scrambler Facebook page www.facebook.com/scramblerducati/ at the following times:

4 October
11.00 11.30 (CET), 14.30 15.00 (CET), 16.30 17.00 (CET)

5 October
11.00 11.30 (CET), 12.30 13.00 (CET), 14.30 15.00 (CET), 16.30 17.00 (CET)

6 October
11.00 11.30 (CET), 12.30 13.00 (CET), 14.30 15.00 (CET), 16.30 17.00 (CET)

In addition to special guest interviews and the great music expected at every Ducati Scrambler event, Radio Ducati Scrambler will be broadcasting all the info on the Land of Joy - the new models, the day-by-day Intermot programme and much more. Virtual Reality and Radio Ducati Scrambler: two innovations, that highlight the brand's constant focus on the future.

At Cologne, the Land of Joy will also launch two new worlds that, respectively, evoke the ambiance of the 1960s Café and the atmosphere of the Californian desert: in their colours, smells and even their soundtracks. Hints, perhaps, at new developments for Ducati Scrambler 2017?

And in this tiny corner of California that will host the Ducati Scrambler at INTERMOT, Pirelli will give the world its first look at the new SCORPION™ RALLY STR. Mounting a 120/70 R19 M/C 60V M+S TL at the front and 170/60 R 17 M/C 72V M+S TL at the rear, Ducati has already chosen these latest Pirelli tyres for the Ducati Scrambler range.
