BT010 - 012 & 014 info
Just had a nice chat with the product guy from bridgestone uk called gary, and he has claified a couple of things and comments i made about thier tyres

010's will still be available for well over 12 months, so snap em up while cheap as stocks are plentyfull but dealers are panicking and trying to offload them cheap

012's same again but superceeded by 014's

014's are designed to run cooler and offer same grip as an 010 at a lower temp

DO NOT mix ss front with regular rears, as the profiles are different, the ss is more pointed (hence why i found it to tip in) the different profiles fight with each other and when the front wants to tip in, the rear doesnt, hence match the pair compounds

also if a special edition ie BT014 120/70/17G then these were developed and designed for the blade and only suit that bike etc etc

since i had the superb 010's i hated the 012's and the mixed compounds explains why i had such a vaugue feeling from the front on my 916

014's are designed to work with all the modern stupid o horsepower bikes that weigh less, so our old generation 916's should be just fine on them and the superiour chassis will show up the weakness in the tyres first hence the feedback.

Another bit of good news, they are still making the old faithfull BT090 for all us 250 / 400 stroker fans, they now do a PRO version, which offers more grip, better profile, and still suited to light 250's. these will give increased lean angles and more grip on the side than the normal 090 - if you see a 250 / 400 shod with 090's and you are approching a set of 40 - 80mph twistys - might be best just to pull over and make your excuses to avoid embarrasment

Going to put a set of the 090's on my Gilera Saturno-same reasons as the 250's. Mark from Holbeach Tyres put me onto them.

Good call monty, i swear by them on the 250. Sad thing is, i get less than half the life out of them over my 916 with BT010's
