66,

Woking is not a million miles from me (Cranleigh) and others on the board.
I take my bike to P&H at Crawley, but only as that is where I got it. For smaller stuff I use a local place in Cranleigh called FCL who (IMO) do a better job at a better price.

Almost all road bike chains have no split link. They normally come with a soft link that has its ends squashed over once fitted. You should be able to find this by looking at each link pin. One pair will look different to the others. Any link (not only the soft one) can be removed with a chainlink removal tool (oddly enough ) sold by the likes of M&P or MPS.
These same tools also squash over the end of the soft links when you fit the new chain.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
John.

I'd recommend Pro-VTwins in Godstone. Good service and good prices. Just off M25 J6.
