Even though it's only a practise session, everyone has tested at this circuit last weekend, so it does give some clues.
Corser must be feeling pretty good after 2 years on those green slugs. Cardoso is the big surprise to me, especially on a bike that's never raced in WSBK. Toseland will have find something more, it seems. Chilli is beaten by his team mate, but still going well on a brand new bike that's had almost no testing. What's wrong with BenBoz?? Oh, dear.
who ever wins this title really can be called champion, its that close. would love to see the ducati winning, but also corser/walker/Haga. this is the kind of field which would really have tested Hodgson.
Former world supersport champion Andrew Pitt, making the jump to the superbike class, was next fastest of the six Australians in 12th place, while ex MotoGP race winner Garry McCoy was unfazed at languishing in 27th.
And Ben Bostrom is in 28th behind McCoy on the H0nda! Should have stayed in AMA and raked in the cash? We'll see over the course of the season but maybe he doesn't have the bike that Vermuelen and Muggers have?
I would have thought I'd see Muggers ahead of Pitt - but it is ONLY the first qualiying session, superpole to go ... I can't wait!

me thinks Corser is out to prove something, there have been many years when the championship should have been his. Will be good to see Abe's weird riding style out there. Good year of racing coming up!
