No doubt it would be a good one,the 851,s dont really do it for me,maybe the white frame?.Prices for 888 Strada vary alot,I was hoping 4k would buy a good one, what do you think?.The bike Gordy sold would have been ideal,£3k seems bargain. What value would Nattyboy put on his?,let me sit down first.

Eric,

Lots of Strada's seem to change hands for £4,000 or there abouts. You shouldn't have to wait very long. Just try to avoid the tarted mingers.

Try contacting this guy, it was a Strada but it's covered in trick SP parts. It didn't make his reserve but he may be willing to haggle if he still has it. Upside, you get a free (Well, you can put the cost down to the bike purchase) trip to France to get it.

Forgot about this - Look what ive found !! (actually had a look round this bike and its lovely..and the black wheel/yellow suspension hoop colour scheme is much nicer than tha latter bronze wheeled affair IMO...

http://www.forza-italia.co.uk/usedbikes.htm - page 6

They vary dramatically mate. Ive seen one up for sale for £2.5k in VGC..went to look at it and it was a shed. Ive seen good, late standard ones go for near £5k mark as you can see here.

As for mine its irrelevant as no-ones EVER getting there grubby hands on it (spent far too much time, energy and money on it!!)..but I was offered £7.5k with all the bits and the standard parts for it when it was on the DSC stand at Popham last year. Sounds steep but the front brake setup alone would cost you around £1500, then theres the wheels at £1200...and thats assuming you can source the bits !!

Keep looking and be patient. I looked nationally for a 916 Senna MK1 or 2 a couple of years back for nearly a year and nothing..then I bought the 888 and about 3 came up...!! Sods Law !!

And when you do get it..sit back in the knowledge that your bike will only go UP in value..think of it as a shiny red building society pass book.!!!

If Martin at Forza has sold this one..hes pretty good at sourcing bikes if you tell him what your after..

Cheers
Nat
