Good news. You are lucky to find a good dealer that looks after you properly.

My experiences over the years with Ford dealers are almost all bad, sometimes bordering on comical. I found a good Ford dealer in Coventry and I will be sticking with them to look after my wifes car. I personally won't have a Ford again but my wife refuses to have anything else.

I fully agree Herb, they don`t care a monkeys about your car and just want to rip you off all the time.

Mind you I had the same experience with Peugeot dealers a few years ago and i found them to be worse than ford dealers, best thing I ever did was to get rid of my 405 TDI estate.

Unhappy

Update!

Just had a phone call from the dealer to say that they have fitted the new turbo and started the engine.

But!!!!!!! its making nasty crunching noises and on striping the old tubo down they have found that the turbine blades have broken up and gone into to the engine.

Today they will strip the cylinder head for a peep but it looks like a new engine.

Lets hope that Ford meet this cost as its 3.5K excluding labour costs.

Watch this space!!!

If any one is interested the Galaxy did indeed need a new engine to go with the turbo and we got it finally returned to us after 8 weeks of dicking about with Ford customer relasions (JOKE!)

The final bill was £6.700:00.

Its a bit long winded to go into everything on here but I was dissgusted at the way we were teated by fords.

Did Ford pick up the tab, or did you have to stump up. I would have thought with the vehicle just out of warranty they would have settled.
