17x 6 inch wheel

Thinking of buying a rear wheel which is 17 x 6 inch, Is this size ok to just fit or do I need to do any mods to fit this to a 996 ? Wil a 190 tyre fit on it ?

190/55 is what you want on it

Thanks keefer, but there isnt a problem with fitting a 17 x 6 inch wheel on a 996 is there

Hi Rick,
I've fitted a 6" Marchesini in mine which is the right size for the 190 tyre originally fitted. There's no problem with the fit of the wheel, one of the few mods. I've done where there isn't!!
