Hi mathew,
I have also been in the same position, although I was running a BP.
Did all possible cost & performance gains.
Answer, sold my BP for 5k, and bought a really nice low milage 916SPS for 6k.
All the SPS goodies, and allready running the 996cc lump, no need to start mucking around with boring out etc.
Got a race bike with lights, and goes like greased lightning, and those termi's sound fantastic.
Might be a better option mate.
cheers
robin

Mood: Is 112 dB loud enough?? What??
Totally agree with RedSPS. It's almost always cheaper to buy the more powerful model. Plus it will be worth more when you come to sell it again. A bored out 916 or 748 will still as a 916 or 748. You tend not to get your investment back.

I think most people know this. It's just that owning Ducatis makes us act irrational a good amount of the time!

Thanks for all the replies, gives me some thinking to do.

I'll be posting some pics up soon, i've spent so much on the bike allready that it will break my heart if i sold her.

Thats why i will be upgrading the engine.

I can allways put a 996 sps engine in the chassis if need be...
