Legal cover

It's that time of the year for me again.
I'm interested if people pay the extra for Legal cover or is it just away of extracting more money out of us?
Anybody had the misfortune to actually make use of it?

I've never paid any extra - usually there's some included. I see it as a way of extracting more cash from the punters. The same as the extended warantees with electrical goods -

On the other hand I always pay the extra as when you are involved in an accident and you need someone to fight your corner it is this element that does that not the insurance company who may just rool over and go knock for knock to make their life easy. I would strongly recommend paying the £25 or so.
