The Ashes
Congratulations to the England and Wales cricket team on regaining the Ashes. Well played.

It's good to see a nice tight series and I'm already looking forward to the return one.

It's a shame to see Freddie retire too, he's got HUGE ticker.

Awesome result for England!
All credit to the Aussies as they had a mountain to climb and went for it with spirit.
Great game all round.
Well done chaps!

Fair play as ever for getting on here and being magnanimous in defeat...

Have to say, at 217-2 I was starting to get nervous...

I thought that Ponting's sportsmanship shaking Freddie by the hand as he played his last test innings summed up the spirit of the series.

Two hugely talented but flawed teams certainly make for a roller coaster ride, much better than a predictable hammering

Great result, pity such a monumental series could only be see on "pay to view" TV apart from the highlights in the evening.

Aussies seem to have been holding up will until Flinters ran out Mr. Ponting in such spectacular style. Tail end collapse was pretty spectacular but the pressure must have been immense! Harmisson so close to the hat trick as well!

Good to see a more sportsmanlike attitude from the crowd than has always been the case, probably easier to be magnanimous in the face of victory though.

Wonder what the folks who have pre-bought Monday tickets get to do?
