Pirelli are making serious progress

From the recent WSBK testing in Quatar:

..Bayliss's qualifying pace was a massive 2.644secs quicker than the fastest lap from the 2005 season opening Qatar WSBK event, with his race tyre best 2.722secs quicker than the fastest race lap from the same event...

2.7 seconds is like another world! Should make for an interesting season next year with track records being broken once again. Will have to try and get me some of them tyres, there.

They are certainly looking a lot better.

I've been looking at the various 16.5 inch slick options around the place. Not many people list prices for them though ...
